What to Expect

Congratulations on completing FirstAidWebโ€™s ACLS Provider Certification Course! Youโ€™ve invested the time, effort, and commitmentโ€”now itโ€™s time to secure your certification.

This exam isnโ€™t meant to trick you. Itโ€™s designed to confirm your understanding of the material. Take a breath, get focused, and review the key details below before you begin.

Exam Overview

  • 65 questions covering all key ACLS topics, including multiple-choice and true/false. Questions are randomized for each attempt.
  • Exam must be completed within 90 minutes.
  • You must answer every question before submitting.
  • Detailed feedback is provided for every answerโ€”correct or incorrect.
  • Passing score: 75%.
  • You have three consecutive attempts. After that, a review break will be required before trying again.

What to Keep in Mind

  • This is an individual examโ€”no notes, no outside help.
  • Plan for one sittingโ€”you cannot save and return later.
  • Ensure a stable internet connection, a charged device, and a distraction-free environment.
  • You can review and change answers before submitting, but stay mindfulโ€”speed and accuracy matter in real-life situations.
  • Give your responses one final review, then submit with confidence.

What Happens Next

  • Results are displayed immediately upon submission.
  • Pass? Youโ€™ll receive your official ACLS Certification Card instantly.
  • Didnโ€™t pass? No stressโ€”youโ€™ll have up to three consecutive attempts before a review break is enforced. After that, you can retake the exam.

You're readyโ€”best of luck on your exam!

What is the recommended action for a patient in asystole?

What is the recommended compression-to-ventilation ratio for infants with two rescuers?

What is the correct dose of magnesium sulfate for torsades de pointes?

Magnesium sulfate is the first-line drug for ventricular fibrillation.

What is the target oxygen saturation during CPR?

Chest compressions should be performed at a rate of 80-100 compressions per minute.

What is the recommended action for a witnessed cardiac arrest?

Defibrillation should be attempted within 30 seconds for a witnessed VF arrest.

The initial dose of adenosine for treating stable SVT in adults is 12 mg IV.

Defibrillation is contraindicated in patients with ventricular fibrillation.

Which rhythm requires transcutaneous pacing if symptomatic?

What is the appropriate action for a patient with PEA?

What is the recommended ventilation rate during CPR without an advanced airway?

What is the recommended treatment for unstable tachycardia?

A compression fraction of >60% is recommended for high-quality CPR.

The proper ventilation rate during advanced airway CPR is 6-8 breaths per minute.

Synchronized cardioversion is the treatment of choice for unstable atrial fibrillation.

How should you manage a patient with a suspected opioid overdose?

How soon should defibrillation be delivered for VF/VT?

Which rhythm requires immediate defibrillation?

Naloxone is used to reverse opioid-induced respiratory depression.

Hypovolemia is a reversible cause of pulseless electrical activity (PEA).

During CPR with an advanced airway, chest compressions should continue uninterrupted.

What is the target PETCO2 during high-quality CPR?

What is the first intervention for a witnessed cardiac arrest in VF?

Amiodarone is the first-line drug for treating ventricular fibrillation.

What is the goal compression fraction for high-quality CPR?

The appropriate initial dose of amiodarone for pulseless VT is 150 mg IV/IO.

What should be done immediately after defibrillation?

What is the recommended dose of dopamine infusion for bradycardia?

Epinephrine is administered every 5-10 minutes during cardiac arrest.

What is the target PETCO2 during high-quality CPR?

PETCO2 levels >10 mmHg during CPR indicate high-quality chest compressions.

Adenosine is used for the treatment of wide-complex tachycardia.

What is the first step in managing a patient with asystole?

Targeted temperature management (TTM) aims to reduce the risk of brain injury post-ROSC.
