Adult & Pediatric CPR & AED Course

Welcome to FirstAidWeb Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED Course

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) can happen to anyone, at any time—adults, children, or infants. While the core principles of CPR remain the same, certain age-specific modifications are necessary to ensure the highest chance of survival.

In this course, you’ll learn how to recognize and respond to cardiac arrest in both adults and pediatric patients by performing high-quality CPR, using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and providing effective rescue breaths.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Recognize the signs of cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.
  • Perform high-quality chest compressions and rescue breathing using the correct technique for each age group.
  • Use an AED confidently on both adults and pediatric patients, including when to use child pads or adult pads.
  • Differentiate between single-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR and apply the appropriate method.
  • Respond to special situations, including choking, drowning, trauma, and opioid overdoses.
  • Pass the Certification Exam and demonstrate competency in life-saving CPR techniques.

Every second counts in a cardiac emergency. Let’s get started and equip you with the knowledge and skills to save lives—whether it’s an adult, child, or infant!
